Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 17, 2026

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit famfound.net or use the Family Foundations online program, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain.

Who we are

famfound.net and the Family Foundations online program are operated by Family Gold, LLC (“Family Foundations,” “we,” “us”). Family Foundations is an online program for expecting couples and new parents. You can reach us about privacy at [email protected].

What we collect

Information you give us

  • When you enroll: your name, email address, billing address, and the first name of your partner. If you use a coupon or gift code, we record that too.
  • When you pay: your card details go directly to our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. We keep the order record (items, amount, name, billing address, and date) in our store.
  • When you create or use your account: your login details, your progress in the program (which steps you have started and finished, and when you were last active), and the answers and notes you enter in the program exercises, so you can go back to them.
  • When you contact us: if you use our For Professionals contact form, we receive the information you type, such as your name, email address, organization, and message.
  • When we email you: we send order confirmations and account emails. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails.

Information collected automatically

  • Your browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. We use Google Analytics to collect this (see “Cookies and analytics” below).
  • Basic technical data your browser sends to our website, such as your IP address, which our hosting and security providers use to deliver the site and block attacks.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as health records, and we ask that you not put any in forms or messages to us.

How we use your information

We use information to:

  • process your enrollment, give you access to the program, and save your progress and exercise answers;
  • send order receipts, account messages, and help when you ask for it;
  • answer questions sent through our contact form;
  • understand how the site is used so we can fix problems and make it easier to use;
  • keep the site secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • meet legal and tax requirements.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for research, and we do not share it with Penn State or any research partners or funders.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Our site uses:

  • Essential cookies for our website and store, to keep you logged in, remember your cart, and complete checkout.
  • Security and performance cookies from Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the site.
  • Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. These tell us which pages people visit, whether they click “Enroll Now,” start checkout, or complete a purchase, and whether they submit our contact form. We have turned off Google’s advertising features (Google signals), and our analytics data is kept for 14 months.
  • Video cookies from Vimeo, if you play the video on our homepage.

You can control cookies in your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics on all sites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking essential cookies may stop checkout or login from working.

We also use Google Search Console to see how people find our site in Google search. It reports search terms and page performance and does not give us information about individual people.

Who we share information with

We share information only with companies that help us run the site and the program, and only for that purpose:

  • Hosting, security and email delivery: WP Engine (hosting and sending our website emails) and Cloudflare (security and delivery).
  • Payments: Stripe.
  • Analytics: Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console).
  • Video: Vimeo.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or if the business is sold or transferred. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

How long we keep information

  • Order records: as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Program account, progress and exercise answers: for as long as your account exists, so you can come back to your work. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
  • Contact form messages: as long as needed to answer you and follow up.
  • Analytics data: 14 months.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, secure hosting, and limited access to our admin tools. Card payments are handled by Stripe. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please choose a strong password and keep it private.

Your choices and rights

  • Access, correction, deletion: you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [email protected].
  • Cookies and analytics: see the opt-out options above.
  • State privacy rights: depending on where you live, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and use, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. You will not be treated unfairly for using these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity first, and you can have an authorized agent make the request for you.

Children’s privacy

The Family Foundations program is for adult expecting couples and parents. Our website and program are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top.
